What is an AI product visualiser?
By Anthony Wei, Founder & CEO

A designer in a web page
An AI product visualiser is a designer in a web page. A customer uploads a photo or a plan of their own home or room. The AI places a brand’s real products exactly where they belong, shows them installed, adds every matching product the job needs, such as trims, gutters, flashings and accessories, and explains how it all goes together. It can show the design on the customer’s own photo, or build a 3D model from the photos or drawings so the customer can see the whole project from every angle. The customer gets a complete design in one step. No dragging, no swatches, no guesswork.
It is built for the products that are hardest to sell from a brochure: cladding, roofing, paint, windows, panels, flooring and everything else that becomes part of the building.
Why it changes the sale
Traditional product tools hand the customer a set of controls and leave the design to them: pick a colour, choose an option, drag a panel into place, then try to imagine the rest. Most customers aren’t designers, so the decision stalls.
An AI product visualiser removes that work. Like a designer standing in front of the house, it decides where every product goes, how they work together and what else is needed to finish the job, then presents the result as a complete, installed design. The customer doesn’t build anything. They see their own home, finished, with your products, and decide.
On the photo, or in 3D
An AI product visualiser works in two ways, and the best ones do both.
- On the customer’s photo. The design appears on the customer’s own home, exactly as they know it. It is the fastest way to answer “what will it look like on my house?”
- In 3D. From photos or drawings, the AI models the customer’s home or room in real time, with no manual modelling. The customer can turn it, look from any side, step inside and see every product at true scale. For new builds, extensions, kitchens and fit-outs, where there is no finished space to photograph yet, the design starts from the plan.
In 3D, an AI product visualiser does everything a product configurator does, and more: the customer can change the size, colour, material and options of any product, checked against your rules, inside a complete design of their own space. Colour pickers, 3D viewers and configurators are all subsets of it.
Your products, as 3D digital assets
Our AI modelling engine builds accurate 3D models of your products from your images, drawings and specifications. They are included at no extra cost, and they are yours to use elsewhere: on your website, in your catalogue, in your own 3D and AR projects. We build them in advance to speed up the project and confirm every detail with you. The customer’s home and their personal space are modelled in real time, every time.
From design to drawings
Because the design is a real 3D model, it doesn’t stop at a picture. It can produce shop drawings and professional drawings, ready for your technical team, installers and fabricators.
How it works
- Upload a photo or a plan. The customer starts from a photo of their own home or room, or from drawings or an address for a new build.
- The AI designs it. It reads the photo or the drawings, finds every surface and space, builds a 3D model where needed, places your products where a designer would, adds the matching products, and shows the whole job installed, following your rules for what goes together.
- The customer refines it. They change the roof and keep the walls, try another colour on one wall, view it in 3D from every side, and compare options side by side.
- The design becomes a lead. The customer saves or shares it, requests a sample, or sends it to your team, a builder or a stockist.
- You see what’s working. Where customers come from, what they design and which designs turn into enquiries.
What a brand supplies
- Your range: products, colours, profiles and finishes, with images and specifications.
- Your rules: what goes with what, including the matching trims and accessories.
- Your next step: where a finished design should go.
We do the rest: the AI, the design logic, the build and the running of it.
AI visualiser or AI image generator?
A general AI image generator makes a nice picture. An AI product visualiser makes a design a customer can buy: every product in it is from your range, in the right place, with everything that goes with it.
Beyond the look
If you need more than the look, the same AI designer and 3D foundation go further, and you add only what you need. TsquareAI Planner lays the design out on the real plan, to the real dimensions, and produces shop drawings and professional drawings. TsquareAI Quantities counts it: bills of materials, quote drafts and order lines. Each one also works on its own. See Choose what you need.
Who it’s for
- Building-product brands that want customers to choose their products by name, on their own website.
- Merchants and suppliers who want every customer to leave with a design, not a brochure.
- Home builders whose buyers choose facades, colours and finishes before construction.
Frequently asked questions
What is an AI product visualiser?
A designer in a web page. From a photo or a plan of the customer’s own home, the AI places a brand’s real products, shows them installed, adds every matching product and hands back a complete design, on the photo or in 3D.
Does the customer have to design it themselves?
No. The AI does the design. The customer reviews it and changes whatever they like.
Is it 2D or 3D?
Both. It can show the design on the customer’s own photo, or build a 3D model from photos or drawings so the customer can see the project from every angle.
Do we have to build 3D models by hand?
No. Our AI modelling engine builds accurate 3D models of your products, included at no extra cost and yours to use elsewhere. The customer’s home or room is modelled in real time from photos or drawings.
Does it replace a product configurator?
In 3D, yes. It does everything a configurator does, with every option checked against your rules, and it puts the result in a complete design of the customer’s own space.
Can it produce drawings?
Yes. From the 3D design it can produce shop drawings and professional drawings.
Will it show other brands’ products?
No. Every product it proposes comes from your range.
